Sabbath School, 22 May 2010

Last week, we studied King David and his prayer of penitence and this week we are moving on to his son, Solomon.  Solomon is an interesting case because, one, he had the honour of building the Lord’s Temple where his father did not and, two, he lived a life that was opposite of what God has asked for but came back and said it ws all an illusion–God and His ways are the only source of true joy and fulfillment.  We will be looking at how these two facts interact to influence Solomon’s prayer asking God to come and dwell in His Temple and His people.  Hope to see you all at Sabbath School!
