March 4th Bible Study – Judas Iscariot

Theme: Character Study
Topic: Judas Iscariot
Place: Zorita & Al Thomas’ (Please E-Mail/call/text me for directions ceanra@gmail.com)
Time: 7:30pm

If there was ever a name in the Bible that carries a stigma, Judas would most likely top that list. Through the years, the name Judas has almost become a synonym for traitor and many other negative connotations related to a weak character. Furthermore, the story of Judas is associated with despair and sadness; a reminder of how important it is to understand God’s plan and keep our eyes on Jesus.

At studying the life of Judas, we will focus on questions like: What went wrong with Judas? How could such rejection come from someone who spent so much time with Jesus? What were the things/choices that led Judas to  a spiritual deterioration? Are we at risk of sharing his fate? If so, how can we ensure our story has a happy ending?

Suggested Reading:

Matthew 10:1-4 ; John 6:60-71 ; John 12:1-8 ;  Matthew 27:3-10 ; DA Ch 76 “Judas”

This week, Zorita and Al Thomas from Rockville Church have kindly offered their home to host our Bible Study! I hope to see many of you there as we study the Bible together, learn from each other’s input and meet new friends. Feel free to bring an appetizer and/or drink to share.

God Bless!
