Reminder: Spiritual Retreat December 7-9

November 29, 2012

Greetings Everyone!

I hope your week is going well so far. The weekend is almost here! 🙂

Just wanted to post a reminder about our Spiritual Retreat, now that it’s less than a week and a half away! If you didn’t see the original post and want more information, you can get all the quick facts here: Spiritual Retreat Post

I’m very excited about this opportunity we have and hope a lot of you can attend. We all wish to be closer to God but let’s face it– most of us don’t spend nearly as much time as we wish we could spend building our relationship with God. That’s why sometimes we have to purposely set some time apart to meditate in Scripture and pray–and this is exactly what we’re going to do at this retreat. Now that we’re about to begin a new year, this is a good time for us to connect with God at a deeper level and ask for His guidance in our lives.

If you’re able and interested in coming and haven’t signed up yet, either leave a comment here or email me at so I can add you to the list 🙂 I will be emailing more details to those who sign up next week.

*Also: the cost of the retreat is $40 BUT I know this is a depleting season, so if you are not able to afford that at the moment, talk to me so we can make arrangements.  Please don’t miss the retreat because of the cost! 🙂

The Question of God: Sigmund Freud & C.S. Lewis, Part II of IV – Bible Study, November 11

November 10, 2011

When: Tomorrow (since I am posting this so early!) 19:00-21:00 hours.
Where: Julia’s place (If you need the address please write me on FB (Lerone Allen)
Moderator: Macaroni

This week we will continue viewing and discussing the materials on Freud and Lewis.  During our last session, we learned about the childhood events that helped shape the formative years of these two influential men.  We further talked about the integration of science and religion and whether that’s even possible.

Please join us tomorrow night as we continue to explore the role that families played in the lives of these two individuals, as well as our own lives.  We’ll also view and discuss Lewis’ acceptance of his desire for God as evidence of His existence, and Freud’s choice to uphold science as truth and dismiss religion as an illusion.

See you tomorrow!
